The marks did line up, but that could mean that in an effort to straighten the sprocket (if indeed it was out by 180) I could have turned it an additional 180 and it is 360 out - I really should have paid more attention at the time. As for the bung seal, well thats just a $2 part that ended up costi...

Cam timing

Here's the scenario: I pulled down the front of my engine to replace a bung crank seal, and also replace the timing belt to avoid any slippage related to the oil leak. In the process of trying to remove the cam sprocket to get at the rear timing cover, I "may" have accidentally spun the ca...

As Kei mentioned, the carby turbo (if it did actually exist as we beleive) it was in the Cervo, which has the same subframe as the MB - so that would be the simplest turbo conversion... IF you could find one!

Yes, welcome!

Don't worry about the auto mate, there is a video floating around somewhere of a late model AUTOMATIC Alto that does a 5.6 second 0-100 run, so don't automatically think that they're slower!

Josh = WRONG. The F5A turbo used in the Alto is a DOHC EFI 550cc, and it uses a different subframe to the MB F5A. It is more in line with the F6A frame. http://home.iprimus.com.au/jverban/rsx%20002.jpg As for the existence of a carby turbo F5A - perhaps on the Suzuki Cervo (from which the Mig...

Any reputable windscreen place should be able to supply and fit an MB front windscreen for between $120-$180.

Are you looking for a RHS door, or door glass? If you're after the glass the only way you can get it is through Suzuki for $280 a pop.

Sorry, yes Fritz, my lowering blocks are in fact 2" (50mm). The top of the tyre 165/65/13 sits even with the guard, and just inside once there is a driver or passenger in the cabin. As for Hatch springs making the performance of the rear suspension any better, I really doubt it. The extra sprin...
