Wanted Mighty Boy upper firewall
My restoration mighty boy has come to a halt as the minor rust in the upper firewall has turned out to be major rust. So I am looking for the upper firewall from suspension tower to suspension tower cut just below the seam and about 40 or 50 mm back. not very big and some rust that can be repaired O...

Re: revs at what speeds ?
even so 1400 rpm at idle is way above normal, and 4000 at 100kph is way too high. the commodore is around 1600 at 100. 6 cyls, but double and its around 3200 for the suzi.

Re: revs at what speeds ?
think you will find its a 6 cylinder tacho so halve the revs 1400 = 700, etc, also both gear boxes would be most likely the same gearing in top gear so no or very little difference to revs. there might be a switch on the back of the tacho to change reading to 3 cylinder otherwise send it back or liv...

Re: F6A sohc valves **NEEDED**
how about fitting larger valve guides or reaming out the old ones, would also make it easier in the future if you have to replace them again.

car cameras
I see you can buy those in car cameras which take 2 angles for around $199.
I( was wondering how feasible it would be to use one as a security camera in the house, cheaper than those ones usually available, they record to a card. any pros/cons?

Re: Gear shift problem
pull the gear lever boot up and make sure all the nuts and bolts are tight and properly adjusted, the speed it is deteiorating makes it more likely it is something like that rather than wear.

also note that the early engine block is cast iron the later one is aluminium so would be lighter.

Re: 1985 Suzuki Hatch Breaking - TAS. Get In Quick!
if you really want rear discs I have a set I bought off ebay a while ago from apparently a gti swift, never used them and won't now, if anyone is interested.
in WA $100 + postage (about $35 cost a couple of years ago).
complete setup, rotors pipelines backing plates hubs calipers.

Re: oil leaks
Got sort of bad news for you , the oil leaks probably come from distorted oil pans/rocker covers etc. when people do the bolts up on these they often overtighten them, causing the section around the bolt hole to distort. you will probably have to remove the oil pan hammer the sections around the hol...
