Re: Maximum size engine you can swap in.
Define "fit".
At the pint you're cutting up the chassis to fit a 4E-FTE, making your own shorter driveshafts seems like the least of your concerns.

Well that's not what I expected when I saw the first Matiz photo. Hell of an effort but keen to see how it progresses!

Re: Joe/Tom's Mighty Boy
Some progress but ultimately delays. Radiator has been welded and looks like it will fit. Engine was removed to fit new water pump and timing belt. Water pump and timing belt that were bought during the week don't fit.... My G10 engine came out of a '93 Swift, so SF310. The water pump I bought says ...

Re: Joe/Tom's Mighty Boy
Great success. Spoken with the engineer and so far all looks well. Also pent a pretty lazy couple of hours playing with the car again today. And by that I mean I mostly ate bbq and looked at the car, but some progress was made. Disconnected everything from the engine that would stop it coming out, m...

Re: Engine mounts
Already had. Ended up with Mackay Mount.
Haven't tried fitting them yet but at least in pulling them out of the box they look right. Will report back.

Re: Going wide.
Going to entirely depend on offset and tyre choice. 14x6 vs 14x8, assuming the same offset, will be 25mm closer on the inside edge and 25mm further out on the outside edge. Tyres will then obviously affect width, but also an overall diameter increase will mean your inside edge gets closer to the bod...

Re: G10 carb options
Thanks Brayden. Hadn't thought about checking the mount from a G13 but now that you mention it I wouldn't be surprised that they were the same. Will hit up a supplier for some photos/dimensions of their mounts and try to confirm.

Engine mounts
Hi all,
Anyone found a good source for engine mounts recently? Plenty of options on eBay, some as low as $30 a piece, but still thought it worth asking here first.
Cheers,
Joe

Re: Joe/Tom's Mighty Boy
Spent a few hours on it again today. Now have Pedders shocks and springs from an SA Swift in the front - swapped on the MB strut tops and got them installed, but still need to hook up the brake lines. Also finished cleaning up the engine bay loom and replaced the passenger side indicator repeater. A...
