not really, possibly with the right offset & if u kept it at standard height.... ive got some photos of 15x7 on mine before i modded the guards and they hang wayyy out. if photobucket didnt turn to aids i would link you the pics.

i used 15x5 hyundai steel rims for ages with minimal mods, then went 15x7 b45 now 15x8 rota rb all on the same tyre as you mentioned.

you can mask up the boy + a few inches, sand the rest and blend in whatever colour you paint it with the remain inches of yellow under the tape.

i get where your coming from, im in vic myself and im doing something very similar to another mightyboy ive got. but damn the old commodore v6 is up there with one of the most horrible sounding motors ever lol. have you considered a toyota 4L v8 or similar?

no need to make the strut tops from scratch. if your handy with some basic tools you can trim down and redrill the studs of a VB-VL (Commodore) strut top. ive done it myself so i know it works!

whats stopping you from getting a decompression plate made? seems far easier than pistons that dont exist?

there definately is, i did it to my boy. I used commodore studs/nuts because there so common.
