Re: Installing Swift alternator
Nice work Brayden! I was thinking it's time to replace my alternator, it's output drops dramatically under load and I think the bearing is starting to get noisy too. I was going thru the spare parts book at work, the replacement alternator listed in the book is 50 amps iirc. I was wondering how accu...

Re: Lower ball joint flogged
Interesting. The pair I picked up thru work, it seems they have genuine suzuki inner rubbers in them, judging by the part number.

Re: Towbar kit
It shal be a cut down mighty boy. I couldn't just cut up a mighty boy & send the shell to scrap(even tho it was too rusty to safely repair). The front was donated to mighty boy science, the roof might be getting a new lease on life too. Then the tub is going to be my mighty trailer. I'm not the ...

Re: Towbar kit
Chris,
I'm sure there is a few of us that would love some pics & measurements of the towbar, please post them up! I'm one of those that would like them so I can make a towbar for my ute, to tow my mighty trailer.
Cheers

Re: Albury Gathering & Cruise 2013 - April 19, 20, 21
Wow, what a great cruise that was, including the down hill fun we had! Man, I need some better sway bars & shocks, so I can have more fun next time! http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm239/toranaguy/Teammightyboy%20Cruise%202013/IMAG1485_zpsb577dfa2.jpg One of the pics I shot on the cruise.... ...

Re: Now the MB Build thread
Great pics on the rear sway bar! After this weekends cruise to Albury, and a belting down hill thru the tight turns, I'm now going to be fitting one to my ute, along with a new set of rear shocks. Then I'll look at a double front bar setup like Brayden's, I've got a spare bar or two here I can mod t...

Re: Albury Gathering & Cruise 2013 - April 19, 20, 21
I'm coming, and so is my fiance Kaytlin. I got my boy running last night, sorted the ignition woes. Drove it to work today, running better, but would be much better with a reco carby. Still need to do an oil change, adjust the tappets, adjust the gear shifter (new clutch & f8b 4spd went in last ...

Re: G10 Engine Swap Compendium (What you may get yourself in
I believe that the block is essentially the same on all engines, so things like heads and gearboxes 'should' be interchangeable but I know for a fact that the water pumps are different. There is a pair f reconditioned G10 engines on ebay for $300 each if anyone is interested. Cheers Paul So temptin...

Re: Finally got my G10a MB
Wow, that's some serious rust! I scrapped a mighty boy (I know, shame on me but I really do believe it wouldn't have been safe to repair) that had rust like that around one bonnet hinge, and when the guard was removed, the rust was right thru the whole A pillar from the base of the windscreen all th...

Re: Electronic Ignition woes.....
If you have a female cable and female speedo drive you can just put a metal tab in between them to mate them up. ;) That's exactly what I was thinking about doing. I should have some aluminum in the shed that I can make a little tab to do the job with as a temporary measure. To be honest tho, I'm n...

Re: Brake pads
Standard Mighty boy pads are known as a db208 down here in AUS. Those pads are found in Mighty Boy's, Hatches of the same age & some early 80's Honda Civic's. I can't recall any other car's that use the same pad or caliper. If your looking for green stuff pads, you need to ask them if they do th...
