Very cool! Altho, those were bad stocks to pick, but you really can't tell when a company will go belly up. That's why you never place all you eggs ( $$$ ) into one basket so to speak.... I woulda invested half in stocks and half in beer, that way i can enjoy drinking my beer, and if the stocks go w...

When you consider how much $$ are made on the camera's and how little if any of it is re...

MegaSquirt is definatly the way to go once you have the maps for the ecu to work with. What about contacting a jap car wrecker, like car busters here on geelong rd around footscray / brooklyn way, they may have an ecu you can use for the program? Very interested to see the outcome of this. Cheers To...

Cool. Thanks for the info. I've been driving my 'boy around for the last week, since my ford popped it's head gaskit, and been thinking all this time, damn, it's under powered. My g/f says it's fine, but i think it needs more power. I also need to stick a stereo into it. Ford will be back ...

Are the alternator distributor and fuel pump different? Maybe the alternator but it could still be used. I woulda thought dizzy could be reused, might need a fiddle tho. Fuel pump, would it really be a higher flowing pump used on the f8b? Alt, well i've read the f8b's won't plug into the MB's loom,...

About $1100 for a rebuilt motor without ancillaries from SuziWorld in Victoria. I take it you mean carby, starter, dizzy & alt? That's not too bad of value for a rebuilt engine. Do you need to supply a rebuilder to them? You could use your f5a ancillaries except for the carby & inlet couldn...

when i do them i use 4 litres of primer 6 litres of color 4 litres of clear That's definatly a lot of paint for such a little car. Altho you would just about need a chissel to get it off, it would be so thick! My Hz panelvan is only going to need about 4 of primer, 6 color & about 6 clear. I wa...

Thank god the Vic Laws are not so anal about that. Only power to weight and capacity to weight. 125kw to 1000kg & 3.5lt iirc, meaning a mb could have say 68kw & about 1.5lts stuck under the hood, and a P plater could still drive it, as there is no law here about no P platers driving engineer...

Well done on the success of your turbo setup! Inspiration to the rest of us mighty boy owners! The pics gallery is great, and a very tidy engine bay there!

I so wish i could get my turbo torana project finished, so i could play with the mighty boy. I'm outta cash atm.

Cheers

Actually it does. :P Pressure (and oil vapours) are expelled via the tappet cover vent, and pushed back into the air intake to be burned in the combustion chamber. If you connected the tappet cover to the catch can, and the sump to the catch can, you have two sources of pressurised air... where is ...

I've read that the Mighty Boy shouldn't be run on ethanol blended fuels. It's got to be either the steel tank, rubbers in the fuel system or the plastic in the carby getting attacked by the ethanol. Mind you, i've tried the 94RON " green " E10 unleaded from united that's availible down my ...

Err, plumbing the can back to the sump would circumvent the entire idea of the PCV system. ;) Actually it doesn't, as the PCV is only meant for vapors, not liquid oil. The vapors still get burnt in the engine, and keep the liquid oil from clogging the air cleaner up. Which is one big fire hazard if...

When my uncle had a hatch he used an "oil recycling unit" (a pipe to catch the blow-by oil and put it into an old coke bottle, when the coke bottle was filled with oil he tipped it back into the engine) This item is known as an " oil catch can ", i've got one to hookup my ...
