those little plastic fuel filters are garbage - in addition to what brayden said the paper in them breaks real easily.... one of my mates f'd his engine over because of it!

Remove the filter from the stock position and put a brass filter in the engine bay. You can buy generic ones from Supercheap for under $10 and they work great. I have two on my ute - one before the pre-pump, and the other in the engine bay before the fuel rail.

the proper ones that go in there seem to be a suzuki only deal
as its got both barbs coming out the side unlike no other availble
i'll get a pic of it 2moro
mine has one still there and im sure its probably still the original '87 one
theres also one in my engine bay which i replaced b4 i knew about the standard one
like brayden said best ones are the metal fuel injection style
those plastic ones go brittle and shatter
