In preparation for an uncoming track day I spent the vast majority of the past 2 weekends (20hr+) working on my boy.

I (not limited to and in no particular order):
*Pulled the engine out (again).
*Angle ground a part of the cross-member which was rubbing on the exhaust.
*Flushed out the engine.
*Did a major clean up of the wiring looms
*Fixed up a loose CV boot (and wiped vast quantities of greese from the engine bay)
*Cut a very accurate hole in my bonnet
*Bolted on a very shiny bonet scoop
*Removed leaking blow off valve (I could blow down it and feel the air leaking out! :?)
*Plumbed blow-by to very convenient plumb-back return.
*Rust proofed to the Nth degree
*Installed the piping for teh boost gauge.
*Broke a Tie rod end (and ordered two new ones.. $$$)
*Measured up space for a nice new air filter (replacing the POS I'm currently using)
*Put the engine back in.
*Put the engine back in.
*Put the bloody engine back in!!! (took a couple of tries)

And now I feel fan-bloody-tastic! I hate my job! Office work is so bad for you! I wish I'd become a mechanic.

/end rant
(sorry about the lack of pics - my cam decided to bounce of some rather hard pavers)

How was everyone else's weekend?

I had my first weekend off in over two weeks, so I spent most of Saturday cleaning up around the house and doing long overdue washing, before cruising round to a rockin' lil' party some friends were throwing, which saw me party hard and wake up this morning in the sack with a buxom beauty! w00t!

I hope you both remembered each other's name in the morning, maybe even what you did...(or didn't  )

I don't get wekends off. i get about half a day a week in which to do everything...
but in that half day, i did manage to take a shitload of good stuff from my ex-parts car to the mum's good strong lockup, cleaned up the place a bit (i'm still Batch'n it while the boss is in hospital), hell even managed to attend a "Pimp & Ho" theme nite at a mates place...

Having a 1.5 hour each way commute means I don't get jack done during the week. My list of weekend jobs/projects just keeps getting longer.

The wife every now an then thows a "why do you bother having that Suzuki when you never do anything with it" and the scary thing is it's starting to sound reasonable. Hell, it's been registered for 2 months and I still haven't even put the new rego label on, last time I drove it was back from getting a pink slip......*sigh* :(

Josh seems to win on best w/e count...

Got another panel painted on my boy this w/e. I seem to be making it a very drawn out process. Still, seeing the results is quite satisfying.

Note to anyone who ever intends to drive without their tail-gate:- You will be gassed.

Adam, it's ironic that you say that, as we both knew each other's names before and after, however I spent most of today filling her in on what went on! *LOL* :D

"All I remember was that I had fun..."
