There is a 1986 MB on ebay. the advert says "original glossy yellow paint", but the paint code is not 15V but rather 19P. It looks an OK vehicle but want a 15v.
does anyone have a clue about what colour this vehicle started its assemblyline career with?

19P isn't a code I've ever come across, and definitely not on a MightyBoy.

White - 17A
Flash Red - 15P
Yellow - 15V
Saxony Black - 28T

These are the factory MB colours.

Brayden, you are missing a few there I think. Mine is 21F which is call universal Black. Found that one out when I went in to get the paint for the respray.

Mines an '85 Boy and it's colour is 19P. I'm pretty sure it's factory yellow.

Thanks Paul. Admittedly I had put 28T in there as an assumption because the Swifts of the same years featured Saxony Black.

It is an interesting point about 15V vs 19P though. :-o

To be honest I think that you will probably find that it is a year of manufacture thing. It could be a simple as Suzuki changing the name of the paint from year to year so they issued a different paint code. The only way I would think to be certain would be to get a database up and running that has the paint code and the year so that you can cross check against other years of manufacture.

I think I can help a little here.

I've got a yellow and a red MB, both of which have been re-painted or touched up with factory coded paint.

The yellow is 19P - 'Creamy Yellow'
The red is 15P - 'St Germain Red'

Just dragging up this thread because I'm in the process of respraying another MB.
So in addition to codes 15V and 19P for yellow, the plate on the ute I have here is stamped 17P.

Interestingly the paint store doesn't have a listing for that code, so I'm going with 19P and crossing my fingers that it matches!

That's weird. 17P shows as Marble Fisher Blue a motorbike colour.
