3 December to 04 December. Mallala South Australia.

"The first two MallaNats events have shown South Australia’s need for great ‘Nats’ events. With 154 entries in 2009 and 208 entries last year, as well as massive crowds, MallaNats popularity is on the rise.

MallaNats is a traditional ‘Nats’ event with a slight difference; we gave it a twist of Mallala. This combination has brought the event to the forefront and has become highly regarded within the industry in a short space of time.

With two successful events under the belt the event will continue to grow. 2011 will be the BIGGEST MallaNats yet."

The Events...

u pull it Beasts of Burnout
Let loose on the Mallala burnout pad. The judging will be based on several criteria, including smoke, form, tyre blowout and crowd appeal. The Burnouts is certainly one of the most exciting events on the card for the Mallala Performance Nationals.

There will be two classes ‘Open’ & ‘Street’.

OPEN: Supercharged, turbocharged, NOS.

STREET: All other normally aspirated vehicles.

It will be loud, smoky and there will be plenty shredded rubber at the finish!

The winner of the Open Class takes home $1,500 & a trophy and the winner of Street Class takes home $750 & a trophy.

Just Car Insurance cruise the trackThe track will be open at nominated times during the event for entrants to cruise around the track with their mates on board. Note: Passenger passes are $20 (at the event or on entry form).

Cruising is one of the more popular events, as competitors and their passengers get to enjoy their vehicles in a relaxed atmosphere......and there is an added bonus; cars will be able to peel off from the pack and smoke some tyres on the Mallala Burnout pad!

tonic services DragsThis event consists of 2 car runs over 250 metres with a standing start and flying finish.

The competition will be conducted on the track between Turn 7 and Turn 6. This event is highly competitive but still provides an opportunity for a production street car to enter and have some fun.

The winner takes home a $500 cash prize and a trophy. 2nd & 3rd place take home a trophy.

show 'n shineSome top line cars are expected at Mallala to show off their extraordinary paint jobs and interiors in the Show 'n Shine. The Show 'n Shine will have different categories but one thing is for certain - the cars will be immaculate and you will be amazed at the attention to detail. We do it a bit differently though....as nearly all of the cars entered are busy competing, the cars are judged 'on the run' with judges walking around through the weekend.

For those that are not wanting to take part in on track activities and just want their car in the Show ‘n Shine area, there is a lower entry fee (see entry form).

Catagories: Best Overall, Best Graphics, Best Interior, Best Modified, Best Paint, Best Number Plate, Toughest Ride, Best Holden, Best Ford and Crowd Pleaser

321 Ignition PowerskidThis will be staged on the front (start/finish) straight. Entrants form up at Turn 8 and proceed along the front straight. The Power Skid competition is designed to show off a vehicle's horsepower and the drivers ability to use the power to smoke tyres for the longest distance while only using the brake pedal to keep the car under control.

The judges will choose the most impressive displays of horsepower, driver talent, engine revs, quantity and length of smoke.

Winner takes home $500 cash and a trophy. 2nd & 3rd place take home a trophy.

keves building works go to whoaGo to Whoa is a popular event where competitors charge off from the line and head for a double set of lines at the other end of the main straight. When they reach the other end they have to come to a complete stop between the double lines and the competitor that completes this task in the fastest time is the winner.

This discipline needs a combination of good acceleration and braking capabilities - the big more horsepower cars can get away quicker, but smaller, more nimble cars stop quicker. The results will be very close in this ultra competitive event.

Winner takes home $500 cash and a trophy. 2nd & 3rd place take home a trophy.

V8 Touring Cars Series dyno challengeThe Dyno Challenge is a very popular competition. Competitors will try to beat each other in the horsepower stakes by strapping the car to a Dyno and letting the accelerator loose!

Dyno Trophies: Most Outright Power ($500 cash), 4 Cylinder NA, 4 Cylinder Boost, 6 Cylinder NA, 6 Cylinder Boost, Top V8, Rotary & Rotary Boost.

mallanats drift asylumBrand new to the MallaNats program is the Drift Asylum. This is an addition for all the drifters out there. The Drift Asylum will be situated on the new Mallala Skid Pan for the entire weekend. Drifters will be split into 3 groups and rotate throughout the weekend on different courses. This is an 'open track' format, no competition.

This is a great addition to MallaNats, as there will be action all over Mallala now. There will be the MallaNats events taking place on the track, the Dyno going in the paddock, the Show 'n Shine on the grass area behind the start finish line and Drift all weekend on the skid pan.

For more information and entry form to MallaNats Drift Asylum click here

Drift Asylum is part of the MallaNats event but is a separate entry. Entering in the Drift Asylum does not give you entry into other MallaNats events over the weekend.
