Evening all.

While looking at the choices for the PolyTuff bushings to order a set, I notice that there is two different bushing sizes for the control arms. Fine, either old or new I guess.

However, there are three different sizes for the upper swaybar bushing!
16, 22 and 24mm
I went and checked and I only have the 16mm. Was there a variance from the factory, or is it rather a case of commonly swapped to another part? How many folks have the thicker ones?

Does anyone know where I can get a 24mm swaybar?

Cheers,

Upper swaybar bushing? You mean the body 'D' bushes? 16mm only. Anything larger is a typo because nothing thicker will fit through the lower control arms.

The solution for extra stiffness is to add an extra swaybar mounted under the stock one.

Yep, the D bushing by the looks of it.
Surely the LCA can take larger? Just need to have the bushings there ground out to allow fitment.
How would you fit up a secondary? Do you have pics?

The second swaybar is fitted by using 4 pairs of back-to-back 'D' shackles, two pairs in the centre and a pair at each end. If you use a standard MB swaybar just cut off the ends a couple of inches before the fixed washers.

I can't get a photo of mine without removing the front bar.

Sorry, I meant D bushes (same as what fixes the standard swaybar to the body). Put two back-to-back, one around the stock bar and the other on the second bar. Repeat 4 times. Urethane bushes can be used for extra rigidity.
