F8B Turbo vs F6A

Fellow 'Boy fanciers... wait, no... you know what I mean.
I have 1 Boy with an F8B & auto & 1 with an F6A & 5 speed, I'm wondering which bottom end would be stronger with the view to run a bigger (than standard F6A) snail & more boost.
I know the 6A manifolding/top end can be used on the 8B (because there's an excellent thread on it!) but would the capacity increase equal a power & torque increase & if so would the 8B bottom end be up to the task?
Seeing as the 6A is built to be turbocharged I'm guessing the internals would be engineered a tad stronger than the 8B?
Could either engine handle say, 1 bar of boost?

Not all F6As were built in turbo spec, and I believe the SOHC non-turbo are higher compression with different bottom end to the turbo variant.
Putting 14PSI through either engine would be risky, especially the F8B with its pencil-like rods. Tuning is the critical factor - and having a clutch that is up to the task.
