Hey guys, just started a new project. the car i have chosen is a suzuki hatch. I'll be converting it to rear wheel drive and putting a 13b turbo rotary in it. I know its alot of work, but i do have some spare time on my hands. So far, the diff has been put in, thats as far i have got. I'll keep u guys updated on the progress, just keep in mind that it might take me a while.

Is it a shortened mazda diff or a carry diff?

I would recommend a subary flat four itll fit easier, less work, more economical, less noise and also very lightweight compared to the rotary.

The diff is out of a Suzuki carry. They basically bolt straight in. The rotary engine has been fitted, just finishing the tunnel work. Hopefully ill have some pics to put up by the end of next week.

is it a similar floor pan as the mightyboy, cause i really wont to do a rear wheel conversion on mine.

Floorpan is almost identical. I've never seen a registered RWD Hatch, Alto or MightyBoy though.

I would like to do one now :)

For a suzi Id consider a g10 with boost for under 2lt racing but for the street
Id rather a subaru mira or sherpa so I could put use a subaru flat ea81T, supra box (with hilux short extension housing) and quick change rear end.

the size of a rear wheel gear box is the only thing that is bothering me. to fit a box that big means increasing the tunnel. that means i loose my clucth  i havent fuond anything to suit yet.

Yeah the geabox is a big issue with no clutch space :? unless you have toddler shoes sizes :(

The clutch is a bit of a problem, having not much room to begin with, theres a lot less now. As for registration, there will be none. No engineer in his right mind would pass it. As for the engine, it ended up being a 12a, i tried with the 13b with no luck. Hopefully will get around to putting the pics up by next weekend, before it goes to the panels for a spray job.

i think you can get it registered with the right brakes and chassis strengthening.

A small auto would be much better no?

Power to weight would make it impossible to be engineered.
