ressurecting this thread if anyone cares, just to post some pics of my jaycar central locking setup for future reference:
I had to grind the heads off these screws so the door card would go on..
works a treat, and is especially useful when some f**k does this to your car:
made an aluminium sandwich plate with steel rivets so no one else gets tempted by a stuffed lock:
just means they'll go for the drivers side i guess...

Pull off the big circle of wires that plug in behind the dash for easier access, and connect the positive wire to the 'Red with yellow tracer' wire found in the big circle of wires, (which is the power to the dash display lights) And I'd recommend connecting the negative onto your door button.
ie. Headlights + Door open = buzzer.

i just made it a habit to lock the door when i turn the lights on. that way if the doors locked when i try and get out i check the lightsbiscuitsrcool wrote:Yer thats the point.... i leave the lights on..... i want a buzzer that tells me when the lights are on but the engine is off, its not my fault im forgetful!
