ive recently upgraded to the hatch triple leaf springs in the rear of my MB, which lowered the rear another 10-15mm.

now with the 3" lowering blocks i started running into some pretty major bottoming out, even after cutting the bump stops in half!

at the moment im running about 1.5" of rear suspension travel (F* All !!) see pics;

what i have done to solve this problem is extremely easy and recommend it to anyone else who has the same problem.
all you need is an extra pair of hatch/mightyboy rear shocks and mount them directly infront of your existing shocks.

now i have no problems with hitting bumpstops and the rear end feels much better/stiffer. this would work even better with New shocks, as i used 2nd hand parts.

Nice...
I'm using 2" blocks in mine with stock single leafs, i've removed the bump stops completely.
Not sure if mine is bottoming out... meh, my ride is crap but i don't get to drive it that much. :wink:

There used to be aftermarket swaybars for the MB/Hatch made by Selby, but I bought the last front/rear pair in production.

they wont just bolt in, new holes need to be made for the extra shock.

the lower shock plate that attatches under the leaf spring is the easy part. just drill a hole as far forward as you can and put a bolt through, making sure its a nice tight fit through the shock rubbers.

the top mounting hole will need to be drilled and use some nice large washers on both sides (to avoid warping the rail), just dont do them up super tight.

ROFLMFAO dude! I sorta know what you mean, i have 5 car's i'm playing with & if you get technical i also am registered owner of my g/f's tx5 turbo & a tx5 ghia which was to be a parts car, probably won't be now.

I just read about the extra shocks to help cope with the bottoming out issues, i'm going to fit a pair of hatch 3 leaf springs soon, just need to wait on my new bushes to be shipped to be, but i think i'll just buy a new pair of shocks, mine are just about shagged anyway.

Cheers
