I have discovered that my radiator in the Cervo Mode is leaking. It is the plastic tank radiator and it looks like it is coming from the joins all the way around. Can these be fixed easily and is reliable?
Does does anyone know where i can find a spare one?

Radiator
As far as I know, plastic tanks can't be reliably repaired if they have cracked, but they can be recored if the leak is coming from the copper.
I'd be interested to see the shape and inlet/outlet points of the Cervo radiator, it could possibly be the same as the Alto. If so there is an alloy one for sale on ebay.

F8B EFI turbo - Three pots and a snail.
Saw that one ebay and it is almost the same, my core (what is visible) measure about 350mm x 350mm.
My pipes are both on the same side
EDIT: I have found a radiator all the correct sizes and all that (1996 Suzuki alto) but it states the core thickness is 16mm that seems thin. I checked mine and it is 26mm. Brayden do you remember if you alto's radiator wad that thin? Does anyone think a thiner radiator would be a bad idea? Mind you a different site also said the mighyboys one was also 16mm.

All the plastic tank radiators i've seen have rubber seals to seal the plastic to the core. You might wanna find out if yours has those seals & it's just not the seals leaking, which could be an easy fix.

I wonder.Does anyone think a thiner radiator would be a bad idea?
Obviously a thinner core is going to have less contact area for cooling.
Maybe only 16/26 = 61.5% capacity ? - I think I'd make a phone
call to your local radiator expert and ask.

I know my mighty boy runs a little hotter, but nothing to worry about while using the std F5a radiator. The alto i pinched the motor from had a twin core radiator, which was buggered, while the boy has a single core.

I don't recall the radiator on my Alto being that thin. I thought it used the same radiator as a Swift - almost all the other running gear is from a Swift.
F8B EFI turbo - Three pots and a snail.
I know what you mean...... hummmmm The radiator I have found is suited to the 1000cc G10a? alto motor (1996 Alto) surely it cant be that bad on a 660cc?Tez wrote:I wonder.Does anyone think a thiner radiator would be a bad idea?

I bet if they look hard enough in the "jayair" book they will find the radiator your looking for.
With my Lh Torana, i went from a 6cyl 2 core to a 6cyl "taxi pack" radiator, which was a v8 3 core radiator with the outlets in the right place for the 6cyl, and i found on a 25deg day i could drive the torry hard for 1hr, pull over, engine idling and hold my hand on the bottom tank of the radiator. Couldn't touch the top tank tho. I never had a temp gauge so i dunno if it was running too cold after that......But the thermostat should have kept the engine in the proper range anyway.
I should probably replace my radiator considering how much i'm spending on my engine rebuild. So a swift g10a radiator can fit can it Brayden?

I don't ever recall saying that!ToranaGuy wrote: So a swift g10a radiator can fit can it Brayden?

You didn't, that's why i asked if it can fit (if you knew). I worded that really badly. You stated you thought it might be the same. I might have to see if i can find one in a wreckers to size it up before i jump at a new radiator.Brayden wrote:I don't ever recall saying that!ToranaGuy wrote: So a swift g10a radiator can fit can it Brayden?
