Found digi camera and took a few shots......sorry about the lack of intermediate shots of the build, but they must have been lost somewhere......

Have changed the wiring for the handbrake activating the hazards. It was setup so that the car fed the trailer with a constant live 12v wire threw the trailer connector, but this was impractical if I used it on any other car than my MB which had that wire in the plug.

It is now setup so that when you leave the handbrake on and press the foot brake the hazards are turned on. downside is that the hazards only come on for the time you press the brake pedal.....

I also scrapped the idea of having the hotplate under the lid directly above the gas bottle as the radiant heat could have been issue....so I have cut down 2 red plastic cutting boards to fit across the whole width.....and used our small portable bbq which fits in the tray, with the tent, sleeping bags, 2 esky's and electric fridge which is powered by a deep cycle battery in the right hand side cavity (left hand side cavity has the fuel pump....)

also had to relocate the 2-way gas tap (lantern and gas to bbq) on the right hand side to internally as they weren't to happy about that at the inspection place.....

That trailer is wicked!

I've drawn up some plans for mine, but I doubt I'll have any time to do much to it before next summer.

I didn't realize there was a response to this thread.

I have collected a braked trailer hitch, some hardware for the brake lines for the trailer, some wiring and a trailer plug, drawn up plans for the trailer wiring and brake setup, which inc a hot 12v circuit for a 12v accessory socket in the trailer.

Then I come up with the idea of mounting a smallish 12v deep cycle battery in the trailer so it can run accessories when it's not hooked up-to a car/ute, and setting up an Anderson plug on the towbar & trailer so the battery can be recharged. I've hoarded some bits to build a bbq for it, and due to life getting in the way, haven't progressed any further than hoarding most of the bits I need to get the project done.

I know I need to get my butt into gear making it, but there are things higher up the priority list atm, sadly. So for now the tub sits awaiting it's time.

Cheers

Looking good man!

I'm hoping this summer I can get mine completed. As long as a few other projects that are in the way get done first lol.

Cheers

Hello Old post
Just wondering what ever happened to your Mighty boy trailer? Do you still have it? and do you have any other photos of how you built the draw bar.
Looking at doing the same. just after info. Thank you
