So... Following the poll conducted in the other thread, it would seem the original date I plucked out of the air suited hardly anyone, so in accrodance wth the poll, I've gone for the most popular weekend:

Albury Cruise 2012 - April 13, 14, 15 - 2012. Book it in Danno!

I have spoken this morning (12-Sept) with "Andrew" at the park and at this stage, that weekend is looking fairly clear - so we stand a good chance of getting everyone into the SAME PARK this year!!! (<-- That would be nice!)

Accommodation as previous:

Website: http://www.borderlandholidaypark.com.au
"Andrew" or "Kim" - New park managers/owners(?)
Phone: (02)6024 3906
Fax: (02)6056 5501
Freecall: 1800 000 408
Check their website for Tarrifs etc.
Contact them directly to organise your accommodation.
Mention you're a part of the "Mighty Boy" group. :D

This year we're probably due to do the "Hume Weir" cruise again, but this time we might go the other way around to make it a bit different...

We'll still do the annual photo-shoot thing, and definitely Donga's PIZZAs are on the menu for Friday night Dinner!

Sounds like a plan. Should we book accommodation asap? To make sure we all get into the park this time? lol.

Cheers

Sorry but at this stage I'm out. I'm going to the F1 in Melbourne and last year was pretty expensive/difficult doing two interstate trips in 10 days.

Hi Brayden & others!
The date can be changed ya know...!
I pulled 16, 17 & 18 of March out of my A$$ for the 2010 meet only to discover that "Chryslers on the Murray" is held each year on that weekend, so quickly jumped a week to the "weekend after Chryslers on the Murray". 2011 it didn't seem to fit several members but we went ahead with it on 25, 26, 27 March anyway. Jump one year forward to 2012 and I have ARBITRARILY nominated 23, 24, 25 March, but we CAN move it if it doesn't fit in with people's plans, and apparently yes, it will co-incide with the F1 event in Melbourne 'coz it did this year...

Now we won't find a date that suits EVERYBODY (worst luck!!!) but we can move it to any time you like within reason.

As it sits, it's two weekends after the Labour Day weekend and two weekends before Easter, my thinking being that proposing a cruise on either of those weekends or close to will impart family pressure on members etc... I know my wife would be pissed if I told her I was bugging out for a MB cruise over Easter!

Now we know the weekend works, and have the forward planning space of nearly a year, why don't we move it a whole month forward into February for instance? - I'm open to suggestions! - I'm happy to run a month-long survey to find the most popular date over a range of say, an 8-week span (If that can be set up!) where people can tick EACH weekend that suits in the range, and then we go with that.

Thoughts people?

So I've figured out how to set up a poll, and have put out a new Thread on the subject of WHEN to run the Albury Meet...
I would be happy if you could be bothered to vote...

Thanks.

The dates don't really matter too much to me, as long as it's not easter. Hell, I might even be up there on the "Chrysler's by the Murray" weekend anyway, I've a good mate really into the "Mopar", we check out the "Chrysler's by the Bay" show every year.....

Moving it into Feb would mean the temp's are hotter, and less pleasant to buzz around in a mighty boy during the hot days. I think the weather in March is pretty good for a MB Cruise.

Cheers

Hi Peoples...

I've changed the date of this cruise in accordance with the most popular weekend per the poll in the other thread.

To MINIMIZE the confusion this has caused (sorry about that!!!) THE DATE WILL NOT MOVE AGAIN.

It's now going to be on the 13, 14, 15th of April, and that's it!

Hopefully we can manage a good turn-out on that weekend...

I hope to see you there. :D

Cheers

Hey Tez,

Been pretty busy mate, and have a bit to do before the cruise, so I better get into action. Have you got the F8b in your boy yet?

Cheers
