No problem with cost and whenever you get to it i'm still doing panel work. car looks great. anyway by the time you get to make it you will have an idea on how to hinge it up.keep posting photos love them.

I have already made mine and hinged it up and put gas struts and mechanical openin system it all opens at the push of a button !

Been a while so time for an update not much has happened ive got the front bar all moulded and have the finnished fibre glass bar now im onto the guards i started with welding up old indicater holes and putting in the ve flutes filled in body line cut the wheel arch a little biger and made it round rather the the squareish mighty boy look and have coated them in foam ready to make them look like ve guards

Did you consider using the front clip from an '88 Alto to get a closer match to the Commodore headlight/bonnet profile?

Nah mate didnt even cross my mind i have formed the bar to git perfectly to the mighty boy bonnet lines but am still able to fit a stock ve commodore grill in just trim an inch off the top of it

Long time away from the car had no shed space back at it heres an update finnished a guard ready to have the fibreglass copy made once the other guards done hopefully this weekend ill be stripping it down to just a shell and starting all motor mods

Never would have guessed that these things have a shit load of wiring bit of a head fark stripping it all down but got it done next step is to brace it all up get it onto my Rotisery and start cutting to make room for the Ecotec
