gday new member here i am having trouble with auto not dropping into top I think it may be vacuum hoses it is a ss40t  1985 model can anyone help please

its most likely the green vacuum switch, you can easily diagnose this by unpluging the electrical connecter and take it for a drive, if its buggered it will change gears.  it can be a temporary solution, but the gear changes wont be normal, itll change but only after 40-50k's from memory.
