The control arm to sway bar mounts can be had in polyurethane from either Noltec or Nolathane, your local *serious* car parts place should be able to get them. Failing that, the stock rubber ones are still available from Suzuki, as are the stock swaybar to chassis mounts (which wear at the same rate...

Tempting, but I already have plenty of full lights sitting about the place... I just need the little trim that goes around it.

If you REALLY want to prime the oil pump, disconnect the pressure sender on the back of the block & insert a small tube with a funnel on it, then pour in a small amount of oil. Helps it out even with the grease trick, although it is a little more time consuming. Before adding the pistons to the ...

You're going to need to be more specific as to the SHADE of british racing green - There's about 40 different shades, ranging from almost black BRG from bentley's, to a shade which lotus used that isn't much darker than the colour of Brayden's 'Boy.

Current update: It's in the shed, front end out of it, motor sitting disconnected & loose on it's mounts (it's too good a motor to leave it outside), just prepping a couple of rust holes underneath where the battery tray is (was), then by that time I should have enough space to pull the motor &a...

Compression blowback, or backfiring through the carb?

Having the cam set 180 degrees out relative to the crank position can cause backfiring while trying to start

Trouble with it is that natural rubber, like the style used on the tray rubber, isn't UV stable. Armour-all and whatnot is the only real way around it. Give it a real good rubbing with it on a clean rag (or few) & see how it goes. I may have a source for a replacement rubber soon... Working out ...
