as being in the process of fitting a AMR300 i can tell you a AMR500 is giong to be a whole lot harder space wise the 300 just fits. as for performance ill let yopu know when it is done

B terminal??????

replacing the coil found a B terminal on the stock one, what does it do and where do i attach the black,white,with red marks wire that was on it.

my new coil only has positive and negative terminals.
this is a first for me :-o

yea thats what we first thought, but after MUCH rootin around we eliminated just about everything else so we will see what happens next

have had the father in law over tonight (retired mechanic, 30 years)
and he reaconds it might be the coil not giving a fat enough spark, we spent 3 hours to come to this point . so ill get a new one and dizzy cap and see how we go

im sure the leads are in the right order because i havent moved them from when i took the dizzy cap off the old motor. i have realigned the dizzy several times all with pretty much the same result eather nothing or the blow back so that brings us to the camshaft which should have been lined up corec...

car no start

have a brand new motor set the timming to 10 deg past tdc, got plenty of spark and fuel. but all im getting is blow back through the carby.
no matter where i move the distributer to its the same result :x
any ideas as to what it could be

well hooray I FINALY got my motor back from the engine guys, but at least it was worth the wait :D the only thing i havent done to it is a set of forged pistons (couldn't afford em at this point in time) but the guys garentee it will handle the 10psi i will eventually pump through it. cool will look into that :) i was thinking that because supercharging was a constant boost set up the distributor would work like when n/a, because there is no sudden gain in revs and power as with a turbo.
but i aint gonna take the chance with all those $$$$ im spending :D
