mate, from the comment about starting from a battery im guessing you are starting from scratch in both knowledge and skills and with nothing in the car as well after the fire.... so with this in mind ebay and a e-z wire kit will be the go, ebay USA you should be able to get thim in the sub 200 range...

picked it up this afternoon when i got into town. elec choke is the "ducks nuts", she kicks first turn and runs without hesitation. the new carby and the new exhaust makes her run like a different car, its way more responsive and has loads more torque. Best hp/$$ spent increase ive ever se...

oh and to keep it road worthy you cant "just bolt some boards in" it wont meet "crash pad" engineering unless you plan on engineering it and even then it will be a lot of work to get it over the line...

dont put an old loom back in, its headed towards 30years old at this stage.... ez-wire do kits, with a full fuse box and all wires are labled so you know where to run them.... or look at painless wire kits as well, they are more $$$ but still easier than starting from scratch. both are good and easy...

if the internet didnt fall over at my place the pic of the carby sitting on the roof would have been posted.... meh, its no show car, and was a cheap 2pac paint job, just needs to look good from 40m and start every time... also the side pipes are off the table, looked at it and there was not an easy...

here is the adapter plate for the carby, counter sunk bolt goes into the manifold, one end slips over the stock bolt locations and the other is threaded into the adapter...

carby is here, its a webber 32ADF, jetted for the f5a, with elec choke with a adapter plate. total cost $559!!!! but will be sweet and worth it. 25hp here i come :lol: am looking to have extractors made up and exhaust with side pipe, whats the consensus in exhaust size?? im thinking 1.25" prima...

if its that good condition swap it for a "more modified" less stock one and convert that??
