Cant find the ballast resistor so went down to suziworld and had a chat. Seems that there is an inline ballast resistor somewhere along the loom. so to test if the "on" circuit has a problem can I just run a jumper lead from the pos battery to the pos on the coil??

see it it runs then?

Nice, is the ballast resistor internal or external to the coil?
maybe i knocked it/unplugged it when taking off the head/carby.

and on a side note, just out of interest, whats the condenser do? somehow reduces spark randomness??

Its so annoying that an unrelated component can go out of order!
But it always seems to happen to me!
