Hey there mates!! I finally took some pics of my intake system. ITs a custom fabricated pipe and adapter wid a 3" Pipe. And a Big Mouth cone filter on the superior end!!!

Cant say much abt the gains as I havent driven it yet... But it does give a cool sound like :WHOOSH: every time I rev it!!!

Here u go wid pics!

so, what do u guys say?

Is this any good or not?? And from the experts, Brayden and Colin, do u guys think that If I give it cold air from a bonnet scoop, will it give a considerable power gain???

cold air is good but you have to remember you drive a f8b so how much power do you really expect

If you call 1-2hp a considertable power gain, then yes that air filter setup would be worthwhile.

A bonnet scoop wouldn't add much, if anything, power-wise.

When I replaced the standard filter on my F8B with a similar unit, the only difference I noticed was the louder induction noise.

Thanx Mates!!

I suppose it is still better than the stock isnt it?? Or is there a better option than this one?

Another question Brayden Sir, how much HP to expect from extractors as I already have a 1.75" piping ending in a free flow muffler!!

plus, theres times when I feel that the fuel pump is slow, I mean I punch the throttle at low revs, first nothing happens, then whoosh, there comes the power. WHy is this? And can I install an electric pump instead of the mechanical one??

Cheerz!

Front what I can and what I've been told, the standard induction system breathes just fine... If you wanted to free up the flow much further then I'd order in the appropriate K&N FilterCharger (K&N E-2570) and install it. It'll drop straight in to the standard intake without modification, increase air flow a whole bunch over a standard disposable paper filter, and not be subject to moisture and the elements to the degree that some of these "performance filter" pods are.

Extractors I hear will be able the same, Boosted - 1-2HP gain, if that.

Sounds like the jet that squirts a whole lot of fuel upon throttle opening (the name evades me this morning) is blocked of isn't functioning properly... Lift your air filter off and manually open the throttle quickly while looking down the neck of the carby and check that you can see the jet I speak of squirting fuel down the neck...
