Hey everyone,
Im new to in car stereo systems and i've been concerned if i placed a stereo in my hatch,would the stock mitsubishi alternator be strong enough to endure the stero and car? 8)

try it out first... in most cases it is fine - but it depends on how loud you want the stereo to go and what compnents you use

it can msot likely handle a 10 inch sub and 2 pairs of splits/components both of which have seperate amps for.

also if you dont have enough power you know about it by the nasty sound that comes out

I've run a head unit, 4x75w amplifier, 12" sub and 6" splits off the stock alternator and battery with no problems.

(Although the headlights used to dim slightly at night with the heater, wipers and stereo going at once. ;) )
