thermo switch cut in?

hi, i was wondering when all your thermofans cut in, mine cuts in at 3/4's but i think thats to hot? its a new switch so i am just curious..

Mine was about 1/2 to 3/4. Your temp gauge could be reading wrong. Most mb's i'v seen either have a switch or run when ignition is on.

To do that you just join the blue and black wire togeather. I think.

It should switch on at 92 degrees, which is anywhere from 1/2 to 2/3 on the gauge. (They're not very accurate.)

hmm, well mine went just on 3/4 and started to splutter. (made me want to do a compression test.) I did a compression test and its on #1 its on 152 #2 is 160 #3 was 150 umm but i spent $280 on getting carby rebuild :-o now i am in the process of changing the inlet manifold.. its a auto inlet on a manual? bit strange. the gasket of the old manifold was made out of the blue goo gasket crap. which was wet and had the consistancy of custard. so i shoved a paper one on when i bought the full gasket kit when i rebuilt the motor. so ill see how we go.. :thumbup1: fun of the mightyboy
