CD player install pics

so im putting my CD player in and need some ideas. I want to put it in the normal spot beside the ash tray. So if you people have done it can you show me some pics thx

Unfortunately a single DIN head unit won't fit in the factory spot without modifications. There's two ways of doing it - either remove the ashtray, cut out the whole panel and put in a blanking plate next to the head unit, or hack out the dash on the glovebox side to make enough room.

Ashtray (COIN tray in my MB!!!) Still works :-)

I was wondering how you kept the ashtray without hacking the glovebox side out, because there simply isn't enough room... unless you don't flush mount it.

Sorry, haven't had a stereo (or a MightyBoy dash) in my ute for years! When I did, I removed the ashtray and factory stereo then cut out the whole panel. After installing the head unit I filled the gap with an alloy panel and installed a gauge in it.
