points gap

Hey guys can anyone tell me what the gap is ment to be when the points are fully open ( F5 ) thanks ... Rod

G'day rod... the point gap should be 0.4- 0.5mm with the points open if the points are old and you are not replecing them check them with a dwell meter around 60deg +/- 2deg this is because the old points may have a build up and will give you a wider gap remember to check your timing if you adjust your points....cris :)
