So... finally got around to installing my new carby!

And bloody hell does she go well. Ran into a heap of issues as I went along, due to both the supplier giving some wrong length threaded bits and the fact I have minimal technical experience so kept forgetting this and that haha. Went to supercheap 4-5 times to finish this thing up lol.

Can do a writeup on whats needed, but it was fairly easy. Carby came with an adaptor plate and everything bolted right on :)

$600ish all up.

I'd be interested in the tech specs of the carby. (What car/motor it was originally fitted to and how much work it was to retune/rejet to suit.)

From what I know it is from a fiat 124 spider 75-78 I think it was.

The carby came all setup for it, and I found this carby cos another guy (Ferdie) who installed it and said it went well. He didn't seem to have any issues with it.

I got it from RECARB and they set it all up for me, and testing it all. I have just installed it and when I got the correct intake for the fuel it ran sweet straight away.

I haven't tuned it at all, but when I get the cash I am taking it to some old dude the specialises in carbys. He has said he will run me through it and go over it all for me and see how close it is to good settings.

It might be a Weber 32ADFA, but I have seen both letters floating around so I don't have a clue if they are the same thing or not.

Oh and its an electric choke!!!! First time I start it it starts straight away, and without any accelerator pumping it sounds like its about to stall out then roars back into life. Love it!!! So much easier and it is no longer embarassing in a parking lot trying to start the bloody thing haha.

And another thing... I bloody love the sports filter. So loud when the secondary bit opens up and it roars into life. So many more people look at the car when they hear that haha.

Can this be used on an auto? Or does anything need to be changed to suit.

I would think it could be used on an auto but tuning may be slightly different & there is something in my memory saying vacuum lines might be different but there will be a way around that.
So many delays to getting my MB back in order with 993cc & 5 speed transaxle... neighbor issue gone, donor shell up on rotisserie, new sheds on the way.... another project also..

You would need to retain the vacuum sensors and idle-up actuator from the standard carby.
