Hey Guys,
my mb for some reason is starting to get really hot when running. I've dropped the coolant, flushed the radiator
and put new coolant in but it is still getting hot. has any had this problem or know what else i should check for?
cheers
Over heating
Had the same problem with my daughters MB, changed every thing right down to the water pump that looked new when i took it off. Flashed the system and put in that waterless coolant (cost a packet), still getting hot. Took the rad out and took to the rad joint to clean it, 80% blocked, now the MB sits at 1/4 on the temp gauge all day every day.
Only being a one core rad it want take much to block it.
Cheers

Also try checking/replacing the thermostat. If you replace it, make sure the new one matches. I've bought several where the part number matched but the actual thermostat was the wrong one.
F8B EFI turbo - Three pots and a snail.
1. try it with no thermostat - see what happens.
2. get radiator cleaned professionally + reverse flush the block too.
fit the new thermostat if the old one is screwed after the clean out.
3. is your thermo fan working. mine runs on a switch in my console.
as soon as I start my mb I hit that switch - hot weather in WA so
my fan spins non stop....
4. last resort is bad - head gasket issue - 1 x bottle of cargo seal up,
goss chemiweld or irontite - band aid fix but head will need to come
off - top end rebuild at the same time while the head is off if you are
planning to keep the car - do it once, do it right....
all the best with it......

Around halfway on the solid line section, or a bit above. 92 degrees if you have a gauge.
