been sneaking 20 mins here and there during naptime and getting a few things done.
been doing odd bits of interior wiring, stereo and interior light etc.. rear bar is done, just working on a way to fix it to the arches? back end is easy, im thinking for the sides ill use door card clip thingys.. starting to look like a real car again... on the outside at least
better pics of how much needs to be removed from the bar

The reason I heated and folded my rear bar around the arches (instead of cutting a chunk out of it) was that it gave me a lip that I could use to bolt it on using the old mudflap screw points.
I also used the stock Alto mounting points behind the round black grille inserts. From memory I had to cut off the standard MB license plate lights too.

yeah i used the same points you mentioned on the back, and the plate light vanished years ago. hadnt thought of the mudguard holes. will see if i can get a tab to it maybe?

Do you have ROH Shift-R's on your ute now? Damnit I was just about to order a set and if you're copying my kit I can't copy your wheels! :P

sure do. looked way to chunky with the body stock, but with the bars fitted they look the goods.

anyone recommend me an engineer in nsw?

If you want to bring the ute up here then I can't recommend anyone better than John Wilson from AKZ Engineering. He did my certification and it was simple.

Nearest I can find is in wagga so an extra couple of hours drive won't kill me. If I can get up there soonish I might even be ready for the cruise. :-o

Whether it passes will likely come down to brakes - that was the only borderline issue with mine.
