I know man, i know. I'm even tempted to strip all the bearings, syncro's & so on from my F5a box to build the F8b box, if they will all fit, as finding the $$ for the rebuild kit is the hardest part atm. Otherwise i'll have to take it a bit easier on the ute......

Ok, so i havent updated for a while, so here goes. The engine is just about ready to go, head went on last night and did the cam timing with the help of a mate tonight :)  All is going good :)  The cyl head is a work of art, Bryan ( cheers again mate) did a brilliant job on the chambers and ports. He also managed to source me probably the last known existing Excedy heavy duty pressure plate to go with the clutch, it took a while to track down, but we got one. So the plan is to fit up on the weekend, then down to the exhaust place on monday to fit a system, then start up  . Cant wait........

So that head come up pretty good mate? Where's some pics of the chambers & ports man? I wanna see. Did it need any welding that wasn't due to port or chamber work?

Cheers

It arrived from Japan this week, all fibreglass, looks horn  weighs nothing. Cant wait to get it painted. The scoop lines up perfectly with the pod filter, and the rear of the bonnet is raised about 1cm with venting holes cut in it, so shood help in the warmer weather when it does tend to suffer a bit performance wise.
