Hey guys,

I tryed searching for an answer but with no luck....wanted to know the fuel consumption liters Per KM's for MB's

the 550cc in an MB
and the 800cc in an MB
...all under normal driving conditons...

if it was an auto or manual box would there be a difference and does the weight get taken into consideration???

cheers

I don't know of any "official" consumption figures, but I used to get around 6-7L/100km with an F5A, and slightly less than that with an F8B.

These days I get about 10L/100kms... but that's to be expected really.

Any additional weight will obviously have a negative effect on that figure, as will driving style.

I'm getting between 4.5 and 5.5 L/100K.

That's a 550 manual.

I try to run mainly on the primary because the secondary causes massive flat spots and it jerks a lot.
Got to do that carby rebuild soon

Do you all put lead replacement into the fuel

if so does this improve fuel consumption

My 550 was good for 400 km's per tank(correct me if I'm wrong they have 20l tank so that's 5L per 100) the 800 only got 380km per tank, and I just did a tank on the g10a eng in mb and got 340km from the tank, but It's not running properly as yet,( have to do that carby change)All manual

Yeah I get about the same 250km but I normally get about 20 Litres per fill up which is when the dial says it empty. So I guess that not too bad... 8L per 100km's? I don't know, I definently don't drive like a grandma!

hi guys, i once saw an article which stated the figures for consumption of an F8B auto at 13km/l ...... and a manual at about 18km/l....
i've never known of a F8B to return these figures...

My hatch gets about 250km to 21L where my guage shows less than empty..lol funny thing mine runs out of fuel after 255km... (usually between 9.8 -11.9km/L depends on driving conditions)

must be a thirsty 5km to use the last 6L...(obviously the fuel pick up doesnt collect the last bit of fuel - i've got another tank though...must change it sometime and see the difference..lol)

cheers
