Search and ye shall find!

Here's my summary for an F8B, but is equally applicable to an F5A if that is your preference.

The ecu will be quite expensive, and i think you need a f6a sohc intake manifold? or a custom one.

Btw get a f8b and turbo it, there at most wreckers and twice as much power as the f5a, direct bolt in too :)

wow

Sorry mate, but the F8B conversion is childs play compared to turbocharging an F5A. We're talking a few hours work vs a few months, and a few hundred dollars vs a few thousand.

Exhaust, headers and that wont do much if anything for a stock. I have a f8b block here. I was going to use it to rebuild a spare engine, but since the engine is out atm im just going to use the one that was in it.

Cylinder heads are available new (blank type).

I dont know how much in freight it would cost to send the block, but i think the sump is the same? if not i have the sump to.

Seriously, unless you plan on spending megabux it is a waste of time doing anything with an F5A, because you won't get a noticeable power gain.

If your going to go f6a or something custom, i'd say get it done first, so if you do accidently hit the car while doing it, it wont be too bad.

After I did my F8B conversion I started on the outside... then after a few years I realised I had wasted thousands making it look good, but that didn't make it any more fun to drive. Then I started again on the performance side and realised that looks are a waste of money, and going fast is fun.

Go before show. :D
